1. Who we are

The maison-lierre.example website is operated by Maison Lierre, a café-bistro located at 5240 Saint-Laurent Blvd., Montréal, Québec H2T 1S1. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information, in accordance with Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.

3. Information we collect

We only collect the information needed for the purposes below:

• Contact form: name, email address, phone number (optional) and the content of your message.
• Event request form: the same information, plus event type, preferred date and number of guests.
• Technical data: like any website, our host receives visitors' IP address and browser type in order to serve pages and keep the site secure. This data is not used to identify you or measure traffic.

4. Purposes

Your information is used only to respond to your message or event request and to follow up on it. It is never sold, rented or used for marketing without your express consent.

5. Consent

By ticking the consent box before submitting a form, you agree that we may use your information for the purposes described above. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the person in charge.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our site uses no cookies and no analytics or advertising tools. Maison Lierre stores nothing in your browser.

The Google Maps map in the Getting here section only loads if you click “Show the map”. Google may then receive your IP address and set its own cookies, under its privacy policy.

The site's fonts are served by Google Fonts; your browser sends your IP address to Google's servers to download them. This service sets no cookies.

7. Third parties and hosting outside Québec

We use the following providers, who only access the information needed for their mandate:

• Cloudflare (site hosting). Pages are served from servers around the world, including outside Québec.
• Formspree (form handling and email delivery). The information you enter is stored on servers located in the United States.
• Libro (online reservations). The “Book” button takes you to this external service, which applies its own privacy policy.

Before entrusting information to a provider outside Québec, we assessed that it offers adequate protection. We disclose no information to any other third party, unless required by law.

8. Retention and destruction

Messages are kept for no more than 24 months after our last exchange, then securely destroyed. Information related to a booked event is kept as long as required by our accounting and tax obligations.

9. Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Access to submitted forms is limited to team members who need it. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we will notify the persons concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information.

10. Your rights

By writing to the person in charge, you may:

• request access to the information we hold about you;
• request its correction if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
• withdraw your consent or request deletion of your information;
• request that your information be sent to you in a structured, commonly used technological format.

We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
